Sydney moo duk kwan

Our Mission

Sydney Moo Duk Kwan was established in 2014 at Camdenville Public School to teach the traditional Korean martial art of Soo Bahk Do.

The Sydney Dojang

The dojang (school) is part of Region 3 of the Australian Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation. As an official Moo Duk Kwan dojang, we study the art of Soo Bahk Do; one of the true traditional Korean martial arts. Our lineage can be traced back to the founder of Moo Duk Kwan, Kwan Jang Nim (Grandmaster) Hwang Kee and his son, our current Grandmaster Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang.

The difference between Sydney Moo Duk Kwan and most other martial art schools is that we study a traditional martial art; this is not a sport and there is no importance placed on being the fastest, strongest, toughest, etc. Self development is achieved at your own pace, and you are only ever challenged against your own potential. Students of Sydney Moo Duk Kwan are part of a rich history and tradition that makes Soo Bahk Do such a strong and enduring art.
